I create from the heart,
so my work feels like home.
I help purpose-led creatives and brands bring their vision to life through typography, illustration, and thoughtful design systems.
I’m JJ (she/her), a multidisciplinary designer and creative educator blending soul, strategy, and storytelling into design that connects. My work lives at the intersection of wellness, accessibility, and cultural storytelling. Whether I’m building a brand identity, crafting visual tools for healing, or mentoring emerging creatives, every project is rooted in intention, care, and clarity.

I'm JJ Typography (she/her) – a Multidisciplinary Designer, Brand Strategist & Creative Educator specializing in bold visual storytelling that centers wellness, culture, and community impact.
As a third-generation Filipina American 🇵🇭 born and raised on Kumeyaay Land (San Diego, CA), my work is shaped by my family’s artistic legacy, my deep appreciation for California street art, and my experiences on Ohlone Land (San Francisco, CA) studying and teaching Ethnic Studies.
I’m the co-founder of The Art of Becoming LLC and co-author and illustrator of The Art of Becoming: Self-Loving coloring workbook. I specialize in typography, illustration, and user-centered design—collaborating with nonprofits, grassroots organizations, and mission-driven teams to create impactful visuals that inspire change and amplify voices.
Currently, I’m focused on building thoughtful brand systems, design strategy tools, and creative content for clients that care deeply about wellness, education, and social impact.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me exploring coffee shops, soaking up nature, or diving into my next creative experiment.
